Abstract

Pediatric thyroid cancers are far less frequent than adult thyroid cancers. Because they are relatively uncommon, treatment options may be different compared to adults. Drs. Johnston and Gannon discuss papillary thyroid cancer in the pediatric age group including a relatively rare variant of papillary thyroid cancer known as diffuse sclerosing variant. Idiosyncrasies related to the pediatric age group are also discussed.
